The Mission of the American Saddlebred Versatility Association, aka VERSA, is to promote and encourage the versatile character and use of the American Saddlebred horse and to educate and inform the public about their versatility.
It's happening! VERSA has committed to adding an In-Hand Class for American Saddlebreds and Half-American Saddlebreds at the 42nd Annual Dressage at Devon Horse Show. The 2016 six day show dates are 9/27 to 10/2. Our Individual Breed Class (IBC) class is scheduled for Thursday, 9/29.
“Dressage at Devon (DAD) - CDI-W/Y/J has been the premier North American equestrian event since 1975. It combines world class dressage competition and the world's largest open breed show with the international Fall Festival shops and special activities for the entire family.”
Note that Saddlebred horses that are entered could also show in other classes, e.g. stallions, geldings, mares, etc. under saddle and dressage suitability. The prize list is being updated now to include our breed class. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Vine at firstname.lastname@example.org. Susan is our contact with Melanie Sloyer, DAD Sr. V.P.
Give serious consideration to showing your horse(s)! If unable to show, come watch and cheer for your favorites! More than 29 breeds are represented at this event. For info please visit www.dressageatdevon.org. You can also refer to last year's Prize List for guidance, http://dressageatdevon.org/pdf/DADPrizeList.pdf pages 4-10. Stay tuned for updates to be posted on this website.
